More (Russian) Thuggery in Crimea
According to the Ukrainian government news agency, http://www.ukrinform.ua the following incidents have occurred in Crimea in the last 36 hours or so…
1. “Uniformed people” blocked the entrance into Crimea of an OSCE delegation of military observers, consisting of representatives of a number of OSCE members including Great Britain, Germany and France.
2. Camera crews from Ukrainian television stations trying to get through to the Ukrainian naval headquarters in Sevastopol were attacked by about fifty pro-Russian demonstrators outside the building and had to withdraw. Men “with cooler heads” stopped the attack.
3. Russian special forces have cut electricity to the homes of families of Ukrainian military servicemen in the Crimea.
Can we talk of “free elections” in Crimea on March 16? Nope.
